About CREDO Donations

Since 1985, CREDO Mobile (previously called Working Assets) has operated a unique donations program. Unique because it’s a community effort.

Here’s how it works. When our customers use our service, they generate funds for our donations program. Every month, we nominate three progressive nonprofits to receive donations, then our community members vote to decide which groups they want to fund.

You can vote for one, two or all three of the organizations. At the end of each month, we tabulate all votes and distribute the donations accordingly.

The next month, we do it again.

Organizations We Fund

We fund progressive nonprofit groups that share our progressive values and work for social change. We primarily fund organizations that fall within six broad categories: Civil Rights, Climate Justice, Peace, Women’s Rights, Economic Justice and Voting Rights. Some recent grantees include Friends of the Earth, Doctors without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières, the Transgender Law Center, March for Our Lives, Brennan Center for Justice, and Reproductive Freedom for All.

We fund dozens of nonprofits like these every year. Some are old; some are new; some big, some small. They are fearless, timely, and important. They tackle many different issues in diverse ways. What they all have in common is a desire to make a better world. There is no other donations program like this.
